Massage in schools

Nurturing wellbeing through positive, appropriate touch.

Supporting happier, calmer classrooms

As a qualified Massage in Schools Programme (MISP) Instructor, I help schools introduce a simple, structured programme that supports children's wellbeing through positive touch, always with consent and appropriate safeguarding.

What is MISP?

The Massage in Schools Programme teaches children a short sequence of massage movements over clothing. Working in pairs, they learn to ask permission, respect boundaries and build positive relationships in a calm, supportive environment.

Benefits

The programme can help children to:

  • Feel calmer and more settled

  • Improve focus and concentration

  • Develop empathy and respect

  • Support emotional regulation

  • Build confidence and positive relationships

Inclusive for Every Child

Sessions are adapted to meet the needs of all learners, including neurodivergent children. Participation is always
optional, and every child is encouraged to communicate and respect personal boundaries.

Bringing MISP to Your School

Whether you're looking to enhance your wellbeing provision or introduce a whole-school initiative, I'd be delighted to discuss how the Massage in Schools Programme could support your pupils.
